Abstract:
Lead halide perovskite quantum dots (LHP QDs) have garnered significant attention in recent years due to their promising optoelectronic properties. In this work, we report the synthesis of methylammonium lead bromide (MAPbBr₃) quantum dots using a one-pot synthesis approach. The surface morphology and electronic structure were identified using Field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM) and X-ray Photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) technique. FESEM image revealed quantum dots with an average size of 128.261 nm and XPS spectra of MAPbBr₃ quantum dots typically show the presence of bromine (Br 3d) and lead (Pb 4f). The Pb 4f core level is investigated to get insight into the chemistry of the two materials. Optical characterisation demonstrates significant visible light absorption in MAPbBr₃.
